ALH owner Keith is selling his Porsche 993 Cabriolet to make way for a new car.
This is my personal car that I have owned for more than 6 years. It is a 1995 M Reg Porsche 911 (993 style) Carrera 2 Cabriolet with only 49,000 miles on the clock (I purchased from the original owner with 9,000 miles on). It has been lovingly cared for and is only for sale because I am changing my sports cars for a Dodge RAM pickup truck that I can fit the family in and use for our business as well.
This car has never had an accident or a bump of any sort and the bodywork is all in perfect condition.
Personally, I think the 993 has been the nicest looking model of the 911 so far, with the bulging, muscular rear wings and sleek curvy lines. It has a flat 6 cylinder 3.6 litre engine that gives 272 BHP and powers the car from 0-60 in 5.7 seconds and does over 160MPH. It is the last of what some consider the "real" 911's with an air cooled engine in the rear. it has the traditional rear-wheel drive and 6-speed manual gearbox. It is a real driver's car that handles beautifully and predictable at all speeds and is a pleasure to drive.
This car is in the rare Amaranth colour (purple) with a black cloth roof and a light grey interior. It has got 19 inch Tech Art allow wheels with 225/40 tyres on the front and fat 265/35's on the back - all in good condition. As you can see, it has my personal plate on it and I will arrange to have it re-registered
The cabriolet roof is completely weatherproof and automatic so you can fold it right open and closed using a button on the dash. I also paid extra when I bought it to have the window and roof closure put onto the remote handset so you can just walk away from the fully open car, press a button and it all closes, locks and sets the alarm / immobiliser. It also has the extra wind deflector that folds up automatically when the roof is opened and it makes a really big difference in the cabin. I have also got the pop-on covers for the hood when it is down (brand new - I have never actually used them but they make it look tidier if you are going to have the roof down for a long journey) .
The rear seats are big enough for 2 small children (up to about 10 years old) or you can fit in an adult sideways for short journeys!
Inside, the car has a good quality Sony Stereo system with a 6-disc CD autochanger in the boot (at the front!). As I like my sounds loud and bassy, it also has a 4-channel Kenwood power amp and a 10 inch Kenwood subwoofer built into a custom-made acoustic box that sits on one of the rear seat fold-down backs (it is on a simple plug lead so it can be taken out and put in the boot if you want to use the seat. I plan to remove the amp and subwoofer for my next car but, as they have been custom-made to fit in the Porsche, could be persuaded to sell them with the car if you want them.
I have all the maintenance and repair bills from AFN Porsche and also all the MOTs while I have owned it, giving a full mileage history.
The car has just been brought back to top condition by completing:

Full 12,000 mile service (not actually due for another 3,000 miles, but up on time due to the low mileage)

bodywork clean and polish
* Professional cabriolet roof clean
* Professional clean and refurbishment of all four alloy wheels (now look like new - amazing!)
It has also just had both of the roof locking motors replaced by AFN Porsche Guildford under a warranty recall (otherwise about £700 of work and parts).

Why am I selling it? - Well, it has been a great car and I will miss it, but I have had it for over 6 years now and it is time for a change. I have bought a Dodge RAM pickup truck that will take the family and all our stuff a lot better and I need some space on the drive.
The Porsche is kept in North Surrey, UK and is for sale at only £25,950. Having looked around, I think that is a very attractive price for a car of this quality, condition and low mileage with the extras it has on it.
