1. Left Handed exhibition in Luxembourg
Keith and Lauren were invited to set up a display of left-handed products and to present at a conference on left-handedness at an interesting exhibition called "Le Monde de Deux Mains" (the world of two hands) in Luxembourg recently. The exhibition brought together a lot of images demonstrating the differences between left and right-handers and the impact of left-handers throughout history.
Luxembourg is the European City of Culture for 2007 and the exhibition, together with the associated conference and a series of concerts by left-handed musicians are part of the activities organised at the Cultural Centre in the Abbaye de Neumunster in the centre of Luxembourg City. Also invited for the conference were:
It was great to meet so many people with a keen interest in advancing the cause of left-handers and also to tell them and the exhibition visitors a bit about Anything Left-Handed and the Left-Handers Club. It was well worth the 700 mile round trip from London to Luxembourg to participate and we wish the organisers well for the rest of the run of the exhibition, which continues until 16 March 2007 Use this link to see our full report and more about those involved |

2. New left-handed scissors for you to try
We have persuaded one of our manufacturers to produce a fully left-handed version of one of their most popular scissors for us with soft-grip, two-colour handles. They are 8.5 inch (215mm) overall length with sharp stainless steel blades, a nice big finger grip and soft rubber inserts inside the handles. We have been trying to get these made for years and we are sure they will be very popular at the normal price of £6.95 per pair. As this is the first time we have had these scissors, we are very keen to get feedback from Club members on what you think of them, so we are doing a special deal for February only where you can get a pair to try for only £1.95 and also get one of our new left hand bookmarks (see below) for only 25p. Once you have tried the scissors, it would be great if you would complete our little questionnaire to give us your views on the scissors (details will be sent with your order). 3. New Left Handed Bookmark
It is only a small thing, but it keeps us entertained! We have had our left-handed bookmark produced in a lighter weight and smaller size, laminated on both sides for strength and wipe-clean durability. It features a left-hand and one of our favourite slogans and at 8.5 inches (215mm) long is ideal for paperback books. As a Club Member you can claim a bookmark for only £0.25p with any order placed in February, including the new scissors at only £1.95 above. That's it for this month - we will be in touch again soon Best wishes Keith & Lauren Milsom
