A huge "thank you" to all of you who shared your celebrations with us this year. It's great to know that so many left-handers celebrate their sinistrality on 13th August, and we love getting your emails reporting on what you did. The Day also marked the launch of our new website www.lefthandedchildren.org, dedicated to providing all the resources that are available to help your left-handed child in all aspects of living in a right-handed world. This site and the survey results were highly publicised in a wide range of radio and newspaper interviews we took part in around the Day, providing an excellent launch to our Schools Campaign
The results of our recent Survey of Left-Handed Schoolchildren have been very well received by the educational and mainstream press and our dedicated website www.lefthandedchildren.org has seen a steady stream of visitors downloading the e-books and guides available.
Lauren has been invited to write a report for Education Today, the journal of The College of Teachers, detailing our findings and has just completed a project with stationery supplier Stabilo and the National Handwriting Association, to provide worksheets for junior school teachers and pupils showing the essential points to remember for left-handed writing. Early in 2007, we will have news of another exciting project we are working on, to make information available internationally to teachers and parents of left-handers. We'll keep you posted, but needless to say Lauren and Keith are working very hard on this project, which is particularly close to their hearts.

Ted Lapidus designer left-handed pens. These are top of the range pens made in Germany and custom-fitted with left-handed nibs specially for us. They are a slim design available in silver or black lacquer finishes and have medium nibs with a very smooth feel and great ink flow. Supplied in satin-lined pen boxes, either of these would make a perfect gift or a special treat for you!
The normal price for these pens will be £29.95 but we have 20 of each available at only £19.95 to Club members.
Order your code 366V Ted Lapidus pen in silver
Order your code 367K Ted Lapidus pen in black lacquer
and if you can still see the price of £19.95 you will definitely get one at that price. Once the discounted ones are gone we will put the normal price back up. We think this is one of the nicest pens we have ever had made and it is still great value at £29.95, looking and writing a lot better than pens costing 4 or 5 times as much!
The popular "Minnow" left-handed corkscrews are now available again after an absence of a year. This unique product is all stainless steel and solidly produced to remove the most stubborn corks, turning anti-clockwise of course! It is great fun to leave it around at parties and watch the right-handers trying to use it! Order your code 162 Minnow left-handed corkscrew
We have a new range of pencil grips available in a larger size and with a soft rubber feel and sparkly finish.
We have manufactured a unique design spoon with one square corner and an extra-long handle for getting the
last bits out of tins and jars - the square corner gets
right to the edges and the long handle stops you getting
the contents all over your hand.
Because left-handers will scoop anti-clockwise, this spoon
is uniquely left-handed and apart from being very useful for
you it is a real novelty that will baffle any right-handers
who try it.
Most members will have tried a Yoropen by now and everyone who has commented on them thinks they are a great help for left-handers of all ages, with a comfortable writing grip and offset ball point so you can see what you are writing and avoid any smudging.
The only problem for us was that they were all PRINTED for right-handers, with the logo the wrong side and upside down if you use them left-handed.
We have now solved that problem by persuading Yoropen to produce a batch for us printed with our name printed on them LEFT-HANDED (or what they call "upside down").
We have got them as Green or Frosted White pens with black ink or Blue pens with blue ink.
The price for these pens individually is £2.75 each (compared to the normal pen price of £3.00) and we have put together a set of all 3 pens for Left Handers Club members at a reduced price of only £6.75 (normally £9.00).
We have almost completed our new eBook on Writing Left-Handed and a new Guide to Choosing the Best Left-Handed Pen for you or your child. We will be making both of these available completely free to members for a limited period.
We have just ordered our Christmas gift boxes and will be finalising our gift sets very soon and will give you all the details next time. Make sure you whitelist our newsletter mailing address so you don't miss any issues Click here to find out why and how to whitelist us in your email program
That all for now. Best wishes to you all and we will be in touch again soon with more news and views
