We will
be celebrating International Left-Handers Day for the 14th year
running this year, aiming to raise awareness and have a bit
of fun as well.
HOW CAN YOU
BE INVOLVED?
Are you
are proud of being left-handed ? Would you like to help us raise
awareness amongst fellow lefties who may not have heard of us,
and also give right-handers the chance to find out how difficult
it can sometimes be using products designed for the other hand?
If you would, then this is your opportunity to do something
about it!
This year,
Left-Handers Day falls on Friday 13th August, and we are looking
for members who would like to organise an event either on the
actual day or sometime near it (we know a lot of you work during
the week so prefer a weekend). The suggestions on the website
for the Day (still 2003 at the moment) http://www.left-handersday.com/events.html
are some tried and tested ways you can help. Please click through
to the site and have a look through them. If you can think of
anything else that we have not suggested, that has a left-handed
theme please feel free to let us have your ideas.
Although
the Day is about having fun and raising awareness in a lighthearted
way, it does get a serious message across, and we would like
to hear from you if you have found a particular area of your
life difficult because of right-hand bias. Please get in touch
with us as soon as possible at
will@left-handersday.com or phone 020 8770 3722 if you have
encountered any difficulties or disadvantages due to being left-handed
in a right-handed environment.
If you are
interested in holding an event, however small
..

YOU WITH THE FOLLOWING, DEPENDING ON YOUR EVENT:-
